We want the oldschool days right back. |
||||
![]() | Who we are.It's time to save the scene. It's been mainstream for too long! Raise your glowsticks, stomp those feet, clap those hands, spin those records, scream those lyrics, jump to that beat, and say "I FOLLOW PLUR" because we're bringing back the oldskool days with that fresh funky beat. Spread the word my little walking rainbows! |
The term rave first came into use in Britain in the late 50's referring to the wild bohemian parties of the time. It was then briefly revived
by the mods, but didn't come back into fashion until the illegal London warehouse party scene in the mid eighties. However it is likely
that the term 'rave' came from Jamaican usage rather than a revival of any previous usage in Britain. Now it's gone mainstream and we have a bunch of hipsters that need to go away.
"You rarely have ever heard of the rave scene you heard some talk of it but not many have ever heard of it. Like I knew of the Rave scene since I was 12. I always wanted to go to one and still do but now it seems like you hear of it a lot and it kind of takes the fun out of it.Cause now it's like there are Raves all the time and not like once in a blue moon you get a friend to come up to you and go "Hey man you wanna hit up this Rave?" It going mainstream kind of takes away from it. It doesn't have that special glow to it now.." -- Nathaniel Renner
